Frozen Dinner

Last night I didn't have time to stop by the store, so I decided to make do w/ refrigerated or frozen stuff I had in the kitchen. I ended up having a pretty good meal: (1) Frozen beef stew (which I microwaved for 2 minutes and then put in a pot on the stove to simmer down); (2) Ready-to-cook dinner rolls (from HT) which I prepared by preheating oven to 425 and then baking for about 8 minutes and then kept on "warm" for another 5-10 minutes (I ate one and kept two in plastic lunch bag to use for lunches); (3) Frozen sliced green beans (steamable) which I prepared by microwaving for about 4 minutes / I sauteed some sliced onion in olive oil, then added the steamed green beans, along w/ salt and pepper; toward the end, I also added some shredded refrigerated Parmesan cheese sprinkles, which actually kind of cooked and became brown and crunchy around the edges over the green beans, which was really good!

Meal: Stew / Rolls / Green Beans. Yum!

Easy Risotto (with mushrooms) - delicious!

My First Post

I started this blog to record my adventures in learning to cook (the good, the bad, and the ugly). To start, last night I had a crabcake, sauteed broccoli and French bread w/ butter (and some iced tea). Very simple (probably took 5 minutes) and delicious!
